Aug. 17th, 2009 10:44 am[There is a clunk, and by the way the person is talking, it sounds rather like someone has accidentally pressed a button on the communicator.]
What...is this magic? [The decidedly feminine voice is composed but strained, and there is evident confusion interlaced with a bit of suspicion. The speaker is examining the device, and as she begins to figure out how to use it, her voice strengthens, though her next words sound...tired.]
Where am I...? [She seems to be talking to herself, and her voice is faint; she isn't speaking directly into the device anymore.] How...odd.
[She clears her throat, then directs her voice into the communicator, fully intending on finding out just what is going on.]
Being as I am quite obviously not in Hyrule Castle, nor even Hyrule itself; I must ask for some sort of explanation. If there is someone out there that can offer that, I would be deeply indebted to you.

[She finally speaks with furrowed eyebrows and confusion touching her voice.]
...Beg pardon?

Date: 2009-08-17 03:12 pm (UTC)Greetings, miss.
[This paticular Zelda isn't amused in the slightest; waking up in a bed that is not her own is disconcerting, as is the general situation. Zelda is, to put it honestly, annoyed. This is not a feeling she is accustomed to. She likes being in control and she feels very...out of sorts.
She does, however, attempt to remain polite. This could hardly be the fault of the young woman who answered her.]
Have you an explanation as to this madness...? Am I caught in a dream?

Date: 2009-08-17 04:08 pm (UTC)She better be polite too, though.]
...And to you, Miss...
This is the ship the M.S. Elegante, en route to the Golden Shore.
If it would not be so forward of me to ask, you... spoke of Hyrule before, yes? You are from it?
[This Zelda already seems to have an idea of who you are. She just needs it confirmed.]

Date: 2009-08-17 04:09 pm (UTC)You're on a ship called the MS Elegante. You've been kidnapped, basically, I'm sorry to say...
i lol'd at shockwave talking to zelda
Date: 2009-08-17 04:56 pm (UTC)I...see. That is...frustrating.

Date: 2009-08-17 05:00 pm (UTC)Ah, yes. I am from it [She rules it]; please believe me when I say with great urgency that I must get back. Immediately. [Twilight's taint has corrupted the land; it is rather important that she not be here.]

Date: 2009-08-17 05:02 pm (UTC)[Here's hoping that it's not another copy.]

Date: 2009-08-17 05:03 pm (UTC)...Kidnapped? That is extremely disturbing news, young man. [Another who speaks of this odd boat. Perhaps these people are not as insane as she had initially thought.
...That does not bode well in the Princess' mind.]

Date: 2009-08-17 05:05 pm (UTC)Yes, evidently. [In a place as strange as this, she has to admit that hearing that there are others here from Hyrule is a comforting thought.
For now.]

Date: 2009-08-17 05:07 pm (UTC)...That is very much how I felt when I was brought here. If it.. would not be rude of me to ask, exactly... who are you?
Please understand we are all attempting to return home. You are not alone in this endeavor, Miss.

Date: 2009-08-17 05:30 pm (UTC)That's one of the least disturbing aspects of this place.
...um, is your name possibly... Zelda?

Date: 2009-08-17 06:02 pm (UTC)[Have some mad cackling on Midna's end.
OH MAN DID SHIT JUST GET INTERESTING.]
:D
Date: 2009-08-17 06:25 pm (UTC)I entirely agree with you. But if it's any consolation, the company is... interesting.

Date: 2009-08-17 06:34 pm (UTC)Of course. I apologize for my urgency; but I admit it is rather imperitive I do get home as quickly as possible.

Date: 2009-08-17 06:35 pm (UTC)Interesting? How so?
Forgive my terrible manners; I am Princess Zelda of Hyrule. May I have the honor of your name...?
no subject
Date: 2009-08-17 06:37 pm (UTC)Perhaps she is insane.]
Yes. Princess Zelda of Hyrule. What might your name be...?

Date: 2009-08-17 06:37 pm (UTC)What might your name be, sir...?

Date: 2009-08-17 06:39 pm (UTC)[This one truly does sound insane. The voice is slightly familiar, however. She has never seen Midna in her true form, only once as an imp.
...Things definitely just got interesting.]

Date: 2009-08-17 06:42 pm (UTC)My name is Link, although I'm... not going to be the one you probably know.
[It is so weird saying something like that.]
no subject
Date: 2009-08-17 06:44 pm (UTC)She needs time to compose herself. She's only ever seen Link as a wolf, after all.
When Zelda finally does speak, she sounds composed, though the calmness is just the slightest bit forced.]
Not the one I know. Explain.

Date: 2009-08-17 06:47 pm (UTC)There are two people named Link here, both of us from Hyrule. Although the other one is from the future. Or... the future from my perspective.
no subject
Date: 2009-08-17 06:57 pm (UTC)If Link is your name, then certainly you are a Hero. [This made complete sense to Zelda.] Are you…[She wants to say ‘mine’, but she refrains.]
What…is Hyrule like? Where you are from, I mean. [His answer should place him in a timeline, at least in Zelda’s mind. Perhaps that would unfold a bit more of this mystery.
Either that, or complicate things further.]

Date: 2009-08-17 06:58 pm (UTC)And I'm gonna go out a limb and guess dat joor name be Zelda.
