Aug. 17th, 2009 10:44 am[There is a clunk, and by the way the person is talking, it sounds rather like someone has accidentally pressed a button on the communicator.]
What...is this magic? [The decidedly feminine voice is composed but strained, and there is evident confusion interlaced with a bit of suspicion. The speaker is examining the device, and as she begins to figure out how to use it, her voice strengthens, though her next words sound...tired.]
Where am I...? [She seems to be talking to herself, and her voice is faint; she isn't speaking directly into the device anymore.] How...odd.
[She clears her throat, then directs her voice into the communicator, fully intending on finding out just what is going on.]
Being as I am quite obviously not in Hyrule Castle, nor even Hyrule itself; I must ask for some sort of explanation. If there is someone out there that can offer that, I would be deeply indebted to you.

[Excuse her while she spends the last few hours being hexed screwing some poor unsuspecting soul that is luckily not you.]

Date: 2009-08-20 03:10 am (UTC)After her meeting with the Hero of Time and with ...Zelda, she left for the top deck, refusing to take the elevator. As she ascended the last few stairs, she had to wonder at all of this. What could the purpose of this truly be? Throwing such a menagerie together...people from the same world yet from different times, creatures made from metal and those with strange accents unlike anything she had ever heard...it was disturbing and fascinating at the same time.
It was with these thoughts that she reached her destination, her mind cloudy, her thoughts far away.]

Date: 2009-08-20 03:24 am (UTC)She hadn't lied when she had told Zelda they had been close. In her heart, they still were. With her words--with her lashes at the princess earlier...well, it was quite the impression to make.
It wasn't in her to backpeddle, however. She was being exactly who she really is--a vindictive little bitch. Midna loves who she is.
Still, she knows...the Princess probably does not.
Uuugh, why does that make her stomach roll so painfully?!
Midna's long ears twitch under her hood as one of the doors to the top deck is pushed open. She's dressed up for the occasion--you should feel special, Zelda. She doesn't put all this crap on for just anyone.]
Princess.

Date: 2009-08-20 03:36 am (UTC)The ornamentations on her gown felt suddenly heavy when Midna spoke; this was a woman who had seen the outcome of every battle Zelda had yet to fight, of everything Zelda was still desperately clinging to hope for.
This was also a woman Zelda did not know. The face, the ears, the body. Only the eyes confirmed Midna's identity. The one time Zelda had seen them, she would never forget.]
Please call me Zelda.

I apologize for being so...rude over the shipNET. Just one of my moods.
[As she looks the other woman over, her breath catches in her long throat.
Three years, and, of course, she hasn't changed a day. Technically, she's younger than when she last saw her. Certainly plays tricks on the heart.
Er.
Mind.]
please forgive me.

Date: 2009-08-20 03:48 am (UTC)[Midna like this is certainly a sight to behold. She's tall -- taller than Zelda, even, and stunningly beautiful. Zelda suddenly feels rather...undistinguished standing here with her.]
Certainly. [She glances to the water, her eyes widening only a fraction at the sight of it. Perhaps a subject change is in order.]
I have never seen anything such as this.

Date: 2009-08-20 03:58 am (UTC)The ocean is beautiful, especially at this time of day.
It reminds me of home.
[She glances over at the other princess, painted eyebrows raised high, silently asking 'and you?']

Date: 2009-08-20 04:02 am (UTC)I admit that...my memories of home are not the fondest at the moment. [She hesitates.] Things are...not well, there. [But Midna already knows this, doesn't she?]

Date: 2009-08-20 04:13 am (UTC)[She smiles.]
But don't worry yourself.
[Long fingers reach out and just brush the princess' arm.]
It turns out alright in the end. That Ganondorf creep gets what's coming to him. Zant too.
[She rolls her eyes. Zant. What a joke.]
Hyrule won't be infected by my Realm for much longer.
And will never again. I saw to that.
[Will you catch the hint or will she have to explain this new body to you?]

Date: 2009-08-20 04:45 am (UTC)That...that is good news. [She exhales slowly, letting her eyes momentarily drift closed. The Twilight would no longer burden her world, Ganondorf and Zant would both be gone, and--
Wait. Midna's realm? Then that meant...]
I see. [So she was the true ruler. Of course.]

This little vacation is good for something.

Date: 2009-08-20 05:34 am (UTC)Only my outward appearance has changed, Zelda. I'm still a nasty little imp on the outside.
[She shrugs.]
It's flattering you find me pretty, though. Thank you for that.

Date: 2009-08-20 12:08 pm (UTC)Midna, you are not simply 'pretty'. You are absolutely stunning. [Someone I could never compare to.]
orz, I just noticed that typo in my last tag D8
Date: 2009-08-20 09:12 pm (UTC)Maaaaaaaybe.]
You're not too bad yourself, Zelda.
Though I believe you'd be prettier if you let yourself smile.
